A Booming Business And A Rising Star: MoneyQuest Wollongong Takes Home Four Accolades At National Awards

Local mortgage broking franchise, MoneyQuest Wollongong, has dominated MoneyQuest’s recent national awards dinner, taking home four awards out of a possible eight categories, against more than 100 other MoneyQuest franchises.

Specialising in home loans, commercial finance, development finance and asset finance, MoneyQuest Wollongong assists customers with finding the right finance solutions for their individual needs and goals.

The reputable Wollongong business was recognised as the MoneyQuest network’s highest performing franchise for Financial Year 2022/23, taking out ‘National Franchise of the Year’, as well as joint ‘Brand Ambassador of the Year’, and state-based award ‘NSW/ACT Franchise of the Year’.

To round out the evening, one of MoneyQuest Wollongong’s finance specialists, Chloe Tobin, also took home a prestigious award, receiving the ‘Managing Director’s Rising Star Award’. This accolade serves to recognise an individual within the 130+ broker network, who early in their mortgage broking career has demonstrated exceptional product knowledge and customer service, placing them at the very top of their cohort.

MoneyQuest Wollongong’s franchise owner, Dino Di Donato, was delighted by the awards haul. He attributed the business’s success to their continued focus on staff growth and development, the hard work and dedication of his team, the assistance provided by MoneyQuest head office, the loyalty of their customers, and the love and support that he and his team members receive from their respective families.

Mr. Di Donato noted that he was particularly proud of Ms. Tobin’s accolade.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Chloe for the past two years and I couldn’t have asked for a more professional or dedicated colleague,” Mr. Di Donato shared.

“When I first purchased MoneyQuest Wollongong in 2021, Chloe brought me up to speed on the client database, she streamlined processes and helped to train new staff. She has progressed from finance support specialist to finance specialist in the short space of two years, and seamlessly balances full-time work with being a mum of three young children. I’m thrilled that her hard work and talent has been recognised on a national stage.”

“It’s also incredibly pleasing that our investment in staff development is being rewarded. For the past two years I have been focused on growing our team, enhancing their skills and mentoring them throughout the early stages of their careers. We welcomed two commerce graduates to the business earlier this year as part of MoneyQuest’s Graduate Program, both of whom are now thriving and will no doubt win rising star awards of their own in due course,” Mr. Di Donato added.

Ms. Tobin said that whilst her award came as “an unexpected surprise”, she was thrilled, and is thoroughly enjoying her role as a finance specialist at MoneyQuest Wollongong.

“I feel like I have done some of my best work over the last 2 years. Our company’s flexible working arrangement has helped me to balance my work with my responsibilities as a mother of young children, and the constant encouragement I receive from Dino and the team has bolstered my confidence,” Ms. Tobin shared.

“I take great satisfaction in finding solutions for customers even when there doesn’t seem to be any, and I enjoy empowering people to achieve their goals, whether they hope to purchase a home, expand their property portfolio or refinance their mortgage to a more competitive rate.”

The Managing Director of MoneyQuest’s national franchise network, Michael Russell, praised Ms. Tobin’s impressive career trajectory and unwavering commitment to her customers.

“Chloe’s growth as a broker has been incredibly pleasing to witness. Her dedication to educating and assisting her clients is second to none, and her empathetic nature together with her intelligence and tenacity allows her to deliver exceptional customer service. She is a genuine rising star of our industry and I have no doubt that she will achieve her goal of running her own franchise in the not too distant future,” Mr. Russell said.

Whilst Mr. Di Donato and his team are delighted by MoneyQuest Wollongong’s recent success, there hasn’t been too much time to celebrate as the business prepares to open a second franchise.

“We are very excited about opening our Sydney-based business, MoneyQuest Randwick. We currently offer in-person meetings at our Wollongong and Windang offices, so it will be amazing to extend this face-to-face service offering to our Sydney-based clients as well,” Mr. Di Donato said.

“MoneyQuest Randwick will not only cater for the local Randwick community, but anyone located in broader Sydney who is in need of a home loan, investment loan, development finance, asset finance… we can do it all. The office is currently undergoing renovations, but it won’t be long before we open the doors and embark on this exciting new chapter,” added Mr. Di Donato.

Located at 206 Avoca Street, MoneyQuest Randwick will be open to the public from mid-January, 2024.
